My boss got me this for xmas. I was really excited since I enjoyed The Time Traveler’s Wife. I think TTW raised my expectations a bit. It is hard to follow up such a breakout debut novel. It was slow, but enjoyable. Niffenegger clearly has a way with relatable love stories with a supernatural element. I just was disappointed with the ending and some of the shallow character development. It was beautifully written with a very rich setting, but the ending was a bit sloppy. Despite all this, I will recommend this.
What begins as an interesting, if not thrilling, character study quickly devolves into a clunky science-fiction story – but if you like that sort of thing, this has one of the most unsettling endings I’ve ever encountered.
This made me realize how many Michael Cera movies I like.
A LOT.
Today’s movie choice.
I am a little dismayed that it ranked higher than Get Real, so I’m expecting good things.
Even if I predict that I’ll still love Get Real more.
I respond well to the comedy section of this genre and enjoy them greatly but they’re not the ones that are truly beloved to me.
I’ll just have to watch & see.
It’s kinda a shame that I’m watching it after MBL, because that’s going to make anything look bad. It’s a shame I’m never objective. Magic that is me.
Great movie
